Iowa Catholic Daughters of the Americas was one of the 41 groups and individuals honored by Gov. Tom on Monday, December 6, 2004, at the Iowa State Historical Building. The awards were for people and groups who have made a difference in the lives of Iowa children in areas of critical and emergency services and the juvenile justice system. Iowa CDA officers were present for the awards ceremony. Each of the CDA officers are from a different diocese in Iowa. Present from the Des Moines diocese were Dola and Elaine.
